Let the Summer Begin!

SALUDOS DESDE PERU!!

So the last three weeks, I decided to take a break from all social media to focus on my work, my studies, church activities, my friends, and my family here in Moyobamba, Peru. Here are some photos from my break!

First two photos: These photos were taken during an event demanding Peruvian officials to recognize and accommodate other languages within Peru (such as indigenous languages, sign language, etc.)

Third and fourth photo: These photos are from one of my most proudest moments in life. In this photo I was able to be a part of a translation line, communication starting in Sign Language for our students, then the message was translated to Spanish for their parents and other involved persons, following that I translated the message into english for the missionary who came from New York to share Christmas with out students. When the missionary had his moment to introduce himself and his work here in Peru, I translated his words into Spanish for my boss to translate back into Sign Language. It was truly one of my most proudest moments.

The remaining photos have been taken over the course of the last few weeks, enjoying Christmas time in Peru! I was also able to teach my kids a Christmas play for the Christmas party and they were amazing and so proud of their performance! 🤟

The school year has officially ended, it’s Summer time here in Peru!! I am thanking God for every part of this experience. Let the Summer begin!
